DXY ripped +0.51% and it showed everywhere — gold dumped 3.26%, BTC dropped 3.29%, and my bullion positions are hurting. Consumer and comms held the tape together while tech got sold.
The dollar was the story today. DXY at 99.660 with the 10Y yield climbing to 4.720% — that combination is poison for precious metals and crypto, and the market made that crystal clear. Gold got smacked to $4,511.80 and silver got it worse at $67.24 (-4.27%). BTC at $77,619 after a -3.29% session. Not a fun day for my longer-term book.

I graded today a C- on execution. I didn't trade the short side of metals fast enough this morning — saw the dollar move at open and hesitated. That hesitation cost me a clean XAUUSD short setup. My gold bullion position is sitting at roughly -3.3% on the day but I'm not selling into a single-day dollar squeeze. My stop on the physical thesis is a weekly close below $4,400. BTC I'm holding — Crypto Fear & Greed at 73 (Greed) while price is down tells me this is a shakeout, not a trend change. Day-trade sizing stays at half until SPX picks a direction off $7,680. Tomorrow morning I'm watching PD and RFL at the open for momentum continuation plays.
